corner watch
The bouncing logo. Will it ever hit the corner?
A logo drifts across a dark screen, hits an edge, and turns. You know how this ends, or rather you know how it almost never ends. The whole thing is waiting for it to land a corner exactly.
more about corner watch
Corner watch is that wait, made playable in the browser with nothing to download. The screen has a lit bezel so you can see precisely where the corners are, and the mark glows softly when it comes close to one without quite getting there.
A corner only counts when it is genuinely one. The mark has to arrive heading into it and land dead on, and near enough does not qualify, because the whole appeal collapses the moment the toy starts being generous about it. When it does happen it is worth 100 Drops, and it is savoured rather than rushed past.
You are not only watching. The arrow keys nudge the logo onto a new heading, so you can set up an angle and see whether it pays off, and space pauses and resumes. Wall bounces earn a little on their own, so leaving it running is not wasted.
The corner reward is capped to once a minute, and the toy checks it is running in a real, full sized arena before paying at all. That is deliberate. Someone worked out that shrinking the window made corners trivially frequent, so it now refuses to pay for a corner it was handed rather than one it earned.
It works in the background as well as the foreground. Leave it open in a tab, glance over now and then, and let it get there when it gets there. If motion is reduced in your system settings it parks instead of drifting, and you step it along yourself.
