These terms keep dopafair and safe for everyone. We've tried to write them in plain language.

01Who you are agreeing with

dopa is operated by Azalea Cyber Development, a general partnership registered in Alberta, Canada. In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Azalea Cyber Development. dopa and dopa+ are trading names, not separate companies.

You can reach us at support@dopasim.com, or by post at Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

02Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of dopa (dopasim.com). By using dopa, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use dopa.

03The service

dopa is a playground of interactive toys and relaxation experiences, with optional accounts, a public leaderboard, and an optional dopa+ subscription. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. dopa is provided for entertainment and relaxation. It is not a medical, therapeutic, or health service, and is not a substitute for professional advice.

04Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use dopa. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use dopa only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and only they can buy dopa+.

dopa is for everyone, and it is not aimed at children specifically. Every toy is free to play with no account at all, so nobody has to hand us anything in order to use it.

Accounts are the only place we collect anything personal, and they are for people 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger, and if we learn that we have, we delete it. Parents or guardians who believe a child has created an account can email us and we will remove it, no proof required.

05Accounts & guest play

  • Guests. You can play and appear on the leaderboard without an account. When you start scoring, we create an automatic guest profile tied to your browser. Guest progress is stored on your device and may be deleted if it stays inactive and unclaimed. To save your progress permanently, sync across devices, and choose your name, create an account.
  • Accounts. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and let us know of any unauthorized use.

06Drops & virtual items

Drops and any other in-app items are part of the game only. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred outside dopa, and are non-refundable. We may adjust, reset, or remove virtual items as part of operating and balancing the experience.

07dopa+ subscriptions

  • dopa+ is a paid subscription billed through Helcim, in advance, in Canadian dollars. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • The price, the billing period, and the fact that it renews are all shown on the plan before you pay, and again on your receipt.
  • Annual plans: we email you a reminder at least 30 days before each renewal, so a yearly charge never arrives unannounced. Monthly plans renew each month at the price shown.
  • You can cancel at any time, from your account, in a few clicks. There is no phone call, no retention queue, and no fee for cancelling.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds. dopa+ gives immediate access to digital content, so by subscribing you ask us to start straight away and you agree that payments, including for partial periods and unused time, are not refunded when you simply change your mind.

Your statutory rights come first. Consumer law in some places gives you cancellation or refund rights we cannot contract out of, and where it does, those rights apply and this section does not limit them. For example, consumers in British Columbia may cancel a renewal without a fee or penalty, consumers in Quebec may cancel an automatically renewing contract at any time, and consumers in the EEA and UK have a statutory withdrawal period for distance contracts. If you think you are entitled to a refund, email us and we will deal with it properly rather than making you argue.

We may change the price or what is included. We will give you notice before a change takes effect, and changes apply to future billing periods only, never retroactively. If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel before it takes effect.

08Acceptable use

When using dopa, you agree not to:

  • Cheat, use bots, scripts, or automation, or otherwise manipulate scores or the leaderboard.
  • Choose a display name that is offensive, misleading, impersonating, or infringes anyone's rights.
  • Probe, disrupt, overload, or attempt to breach the service or its security, or scrape it beyond ordinary personal use.
  • Use dopa to break the law or infringe others' rights.

09Leaderboard moderation

To keep the leaderboard fair and appropriate, we may moderate, normalize, reset, hide, or remove entries and display names at our discretion. That includes scores we reasonably believe were obtained through cheating or automation, and handles that violate these Terms.

10Intellectual property

dopa, including its toys, software, design, branding, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use dopa for your own enjoyment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of it except as allowed by law.

11Disclaimers

dopais provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Consumer law in Alberta and elsewhere gives you guarantees that cannot be waived, and nothing here waives them. If you bought dopa+ as a consumer, those legal guarantees apply on top of anything we say in this section.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Azalea Cyber Development will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the service.

Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or CA$100. We set a floor deliberately: capping a free player's remedy at zero is the kind of term a court is entitled to ignore, and we would rather write something that holds.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

13Termination

You can stop using dopa at any time and delete your account from your settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of dopa after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

15Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute.

This does not take away rights you have at home. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the province, state, or country you live in, and you can bring a claim there. Nothing in these Terms overrides a right that the law where you live does not allow us to exclude.

Before starting a formal claim, please email us. Most things are faster to fix directly, and we would rather fix them.
