The symbols are printed in ink on dark card stock rather than rendered as objects, so they read the way a real lottery ticket reads, flat and slightly off register. Match three and you have struck.

The foil does not clear itself. Uncover a symbol and it stays uncovered, but the rest of the card is still foil until you scratch it, so you get to take as long as you want and stop halfway if you prefer not knowing.

When a third symbol lands, the card knows before you do and says so, with a sweep and a ring. A near miss, two of a kind, is marked as well, because a near miss is most of what a scratch card is.

There are seven free cards a day that pay real Drops. After those, it drops into practice mode, which plays identically and pays nothing, so the toy stays available without the reward becoming meaningless.

It runs in the browser with nothing to download. There is no real money anywhere in it, in or out, and there is no way to buy more cards. Drops spend in the studio and nowhere else.
